Five circus artists are evolving in a courtyard. A first group of two support one circus artist who stands upright on their hands and shoulders. In the second group one circus artist is raised by another to prepare for a new figure.

We see couples of people dancing the waltz. In the foreground we see a woman from behind who has only the tip of her foot touching the floor. She is elevated in the air.

The four waltz dancers stand on a little and circular black platform and they form a circle. The bodies tries to escape the circle. We notice this through the arms that point toward the top of the room and the gazes in different directions. The costumes are mostly black but some parts are white.

There is an opening in a big wooden box. From this opening we can see two hands wearing wigs and facing each other. They look at an egg in the center and get out of two little doors.
